As food insecurity continues to rise, The Stop offers reliable access to nutritious food, creating spaces that foster our community's well-being.

Food Bank
Located at 1884 Davenport Road, our food bank provides hampers of nutritious produce, fresh milk, eggs, whole grains, and other essentials. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available.
Households within The Stop’s catchment area can access the food bank once a month. Those outside the area can access it once every six months.
To ensure fair access for everyone, visitors require proof of address and ID.

Drop-In Meals
The Stop serves drop-in, sit-down meals at:
1884 Davenport Rd. and 729 St. Clair West
Prepared by community chefs and volunteers, all our meals are culturally-appropriate, well-balanced, and include vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Breakfast: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri — 9:00 a.m.
Lunch: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri — 12:00 p.m.
No breakfast/lunch on Wednesdays at this location.
729 St. Clair West
(Wychwood Open Door)
Breakfast: Wed — 9:00 a.m.
Lunch: Wed — 12:00 p.m.
Dinner: Thu — 4:00 p.m.
Both locations closed on all federal statutory holidays.




Good Food Market
The Stop brings fresh, affordable food into communities where access to healthy groceries is limited. In turn, our communities support local farmers and the food economy.
Shop for fresh produce, baked goods, and ready-to-eat soups, stews, and sauces, prepared by our community chefs. Vegetarian and gluten free options available.
The Good Food Market is located at 1884 Davenport Rd and is open to everyone.
Hours
Tuesdays from 12–2 p.m.
Closed on all federal statutory holidays. Also closed on Tuesdays following a holiday Monday.




Drop-In Activities
Our drop-in activities offer opportunities to connect with others, try something creative, and spend time in a welcoming community space. Activities are designed to encourage participation, build relationships and provide opportunities for people to have fun, express themselves and connect at their own pace.

Karaoke
Sing along to your favourite songs with a fun, supportive crowd at The Stop.
Art Table
Draw, colour, or make simple crafts in this space for creativity.
Stitchin' by the Kitchen
Join a guided knitting, mending, or stitching activity in our drop-in space.

What to Bring
On your first visit, please bring a piece of identification and proof of address (e.g., utility bill, lease agreement, or other document showing your current address) to confirm your eligibility.
Note: If you’re picking up food for your household, you’ll need to provide identification for all household members.
If you live within our catchment area, once a month. If you live outside the area, once every six months.
You’ll receive about three days' worth of food for you, or your household, each time you visit.
To register for the food bank, please provide a valid photo identification for yourself and any dependents living in your household. This can be a passport, driver’s license or photo identification card. We also require proof of address. This can be a leasing agreement document or a piece of mail with your first and last name and address.
Donation Drop-off Hours
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You can drop-off donations at the back entrance of 1884 Davenport Road during these times. Or email donate@thestop.org to arrange an alternative drop-off time.
No registration is required. Meals are available on a drop-in basis.
The Stop’s community chefs plan menus weekly based on seasonal ingredients, holiday celebrations, donations received, and available budget. Nutritional value is also always a consideration when planning meals.
Yes. A vegetarian option is always available. We do our best to accommodate other dietary needs whenever possible. Please speak with staff about your specific needs.
