Community Building

From perinatal care to emotional wellness to hands-on learning in our community kitchens, our programs nourish both body and mind. Participants gain skills, build connections, and feel supported at The Stop.

Healthy Beginnings

The Stop’s perinatal program helps families build friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging. New and expectant parents attend culturally sensitive and community-focused workshops, connect with other families, share nutritious meals, and receive food hampers and transportation.

Community Kitchens

The Stop’s community cooking program runs seasonally to prioritize fresh, accessible, and budget-friendly food grown in Ontario. Every session, participants connect, develop culinary skills, and celebrate cuisines from all over the world, gathering with volunteers and staff to prepare and enjoy delicious and nutritious meals.

Emotional Wellness

This peer support program nurtures emotional wellness with resources and opportunities for people to come together and:

  • Create music, art, creative writing
  • Connect in a peer engagement group
  • Receive personal care items

Program activities take place at both of our drop-in locations: 1884 Davenport Rd. and 729 St. Clair West.
