Community Advocacy

Need help navigating and accessing resources for income, housing, and government benefits? This peer-run hub provides confidential support, referrals, and guidance.

Services include:

  • Referrals to community supports (e.g., housing, employment, immigration)
  • Debbie Jenkins Tax Clinic: Free seasonal support to file a tax return, access related benefits, and improve financial stability
  • Become Your Own Advocate (BYOA): A free, in-person course to build practical advocacy skills

Community Building

The Stop’s programs include perinatal care, peer-to-peer emotional wellness activities, and hands-on learning in our community kitchens.

Participants gain essential skills, share meals, build friendships, and connect in a welcoming environment.

Our programs bring people together to grow food, connect with nature, and explore sustainable farming. Participants harvest fresh produce, learn new skills, and connect with others while contributing to the community.

The Stop's Farmers' Market

Shop for fresh, local, and ethically produced food from 35+ local farmers and vendors all year round. Connect with community and help The Stop increase access to healthy food across Toronto. Catch live music, explore advocacy programs, and learn about sustainable food systems.
