At the Stop, Good Nutritious Food Is
a Gateway to Deeper Connection
Based in Toronto, our programs support food access, urban agriculture, and community-building initiatives designed to bring people together and support their well-being.
Emergency Food Access
Our emergency food access programs include a food bank, two drop-in meal locations, and a Good Food Market, providing free meals and groceries, as well as affordable fresh food options for the community.
Community Advocacy
We work with our community to respond to changing needs. This includes a peer-led community action program, as well as a tax and ID clinic.
Community Building
We offer programs that support well-being and connection, including perinatal care, emotional wellness activities, and community kitchens where participants can learn, share, and build relationships.
Urban Agriculture
We run a range of urban agriculture programs, including seedling giveaways, a microgreens program, and a variety of community garden projects.
The Stop's Farmers' Market
We operate a year-round farmers’ market that supports local vendors and provides access to fresh, sustainable, and culturally diverse food for the community.
Growing Community. Feeding Change.
Get To Know Our Community
The Stop reached over 27,000 community members via our food bank last year.

I had the privilege of participating during my pregnancy and postpartum until my baby was 6 months old. I can only thank the entire team that welcomed me; you helped me with many issues, and one of them was finding a midwife through the program. They are all so kind and always available to help.
