Food Bank

Our food bank is located at 1884 Davenport Rd., where we offer fresh, nutritious hampers that include produce, milk, eggs, and whole grains. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available within the hampers.

Households within our catchment area can access the food bank once per month, while those outside the area can visit once every six months.

To ensure fair access for everyone, households require a proof of address and a piece of ID.

Drop-In Meals

We serve drop-in, seated meals at 1884 Davenport Rd. and at 729 St. Clair West (Wychwood Open Door). Our meals are culturally-appropriate, balanced, and prepared by Community Chefs and volunteers, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available.

Good Food Market

The Good Food Market brings fresh, affordable food into communities where access to healthy groceries is limited.By bringing produce and prepared foods closer to home, the market also supports local farmers and the food economy.

We offer fresh produce, baked goods, and ready-to-eat items like soups, stews, and sauces, prepared by our Community Chefs, with options available to support a variety of dietary needs, including vegetarian and gluten-free.

Drop-In Activities at the Stop

Alongside our meals and food programs, we offer a range of drop-in activities that create space for connection, creativity, and rest. Everyone is welcome to come by, connect, and take part.

Bingo

A fun, interactive game to encourage participation and social connection, with prizes to be won.

Creative Writing

A relaxed session where participants can express ideas through short stories, poems, or guided prompts.

Art Table

A space for hands-on creativity using drawing, coloring, and simple craft materials.

Stitchin' by the Kitchen

A calm, guided knitting, mending, and stitching activity set up in the drop‑in area for easy access and comfort.

Movies

Casual movie screenings offering a chance to relax, enjoy films together, and spark conversation

Karaoke

A lively, inclusive activity where participants can sing along to favourite songs in a supportive, fun environment.

Our food bank is located at 1884 Davenport Rd, at the intersection of Davenport Rd. and Symington Ave.  

No appointment is required. You are welcome to visit The Stop's food bank during our operating hours on Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please note that we are closed on statutory holidays.

When visiting for the first time, please bring a piece of identification and proof of address (such as a utility bill, lease agreement, or other document showing your current address) to confirm your eligibility.

If you are picking up food for your household, you will be asked to provide identification for all household members.

If you live within our catchment area, you can access the food bank once per month. If you live outside our catchment area, you can access the service once every six months.

Each visit provides approximately three days' worth of food for you or your household.

Donations can be dropped off on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the back entrance of 1884 Davenport Road. If those times do not work for you, please email donate@thestop.org to arrange an alternative drop-off time.

No registration is required. Meals are available on a drop-in basis.

Menus are developed weekly based on available donations, seasonal ingredients, holidays, budget considerations, and the expertise of our Community Chefs.
